“ No societal peace without social solidarity," on that the whole participants assured in the Third Day of Peace which was held in Dakahlia province in the town of Mansoura on Saturday, 20-12-2008 , and was attended by (130) persons . And because the ability of any society is measured by the ability of the weakest parts of it , the community's commitment to its institutions and personnel to the marginalized and the poor families and the families of prisoners becomes imperative, not only for moral and social reasons, but also for reasons of national societal security . And from this way, the peace-day activities are organized by Maat Center for constitutional Studies and human rights within the activities of the societal peace, which is implemented by the Center in cooperation with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), And aims to create a community-based mechanism for the integration of families of prisoners and detainees in the community with changing the society's perception of them , The project is also working on the dissemination and enhancement of the concepts of internal peace of the individual and respect for the law and follow the procedures to obtain the rights and to follow the non-violent methods . To measure the progress of the participants a result of their participation in the previous days of peace , As well as to give them a great opportunity to express their opinions and put forward their vision to resolve the problems , the attendants Has been divided into groups based on the concerns of individuals and the problems of which they suffer from. The discussion into the groups and the activities of the day revealed The extent of the relation between peace and societal values of tolerance and acceptance of others and The extent to which the individuals are secured and tranquil , They also insured that the status of interdependence in the structure of social relations is the aspect which preserve the stability of the structure , and keep it from collapsing which is may happen if we didn’t extend a helping hand to help innocent people who are destined to be members in families which one of its members is behind bars .the participants talked in their interventions about the pictures and the manifestations of this collapse and to stop the social disintegration , The most important of these features was Revenge from the other in the form of violence within the family and social violence in all its forms from like vulgar words , and even murders , and all other forms like violence, harassment, rape, armed robbery and destruction of public utilities . Participants also noted that self violence is a manifestation of the collapse , and so the Convergence , addiction and suicide could be aspects to the absence of societal peace in any homeland . The main recommendation in the day that the educational , media, religious and civil institutions of the community play its role in raising awareness of these meanings and noble values and monitor the extent of its real presence ,also the Individuals knowledge of the meaning of compassion , solidarity, interdependence , and to realize that the alleviation of the suffering of the families of prisoners today is to protect themselves from the pain of tomorrow . The significance of the reference to the extent that the existence of the societal peace , tolerance and solidarity with the families of prisoners as far as to stop the justification for the crime in the community ,and To the extent that cultivate in our soil the seeds of social peace , As far as reaping the benefits of safety .
