Maat: The contribution of North African countries to harmful gas emissions is very small
Pasha: Strengthening the efforts of North African countries to adapt measures to climate-smart agriculture has become an urgent necessity
Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights stressed the need to strengthen cooperative measures among North African countries regarding adaptation to climate-smart agriculture, to expand the scope of climate adaptation measures.

In this regard; Abdel Rahman Pasha, Director of the Sustainable Development Unit at the Maat Foundation, emphasized in his speech that North African countries in general do not contribute to harmful gas emissions except to a very small extent, and yet the effects of climate change that they are exposed to are more severe compared to many countries that are located On the coasts of the seas, he pointed out the importance of countries and organizations in North Africa # taking a set of measures to reduce the negative effects of climate change, especially those related to food security.

It is worth noting that the event was organized in the civil society pavilion in the blue region, in the presence of a number of deputies and experts specialized in the field of agriculture and environment in Egypt and North Africa.
