On the sidelines of the 49th session of the Human Rights Council, the Maat Foundation for Peace, Development, and Human Rights organized a side event on combating torture in the Middle East. The event addressed recommendations at the international and local levels, the role of UN mechanisms in this regard, and real-life cases of torture perpetrated by the Houthis in Yemen.
