The joint international local mission continued to follow the electoral process in the governorates of the first phase, in which the run-off will take place on next Tuesday and Wednesday, and a few hours before the electoral silence. The mission monitored many events related to the House of Representatives elections, the most prominent of which was the assassination of the takfiri elements of the Nour Party candidate in North Sinai Governorate, Mr. Mustafa Abdel Rahman, which is what the mission believes is a targeting of the members of the participating parties on June 30, and it also sees that there is a relationship between the assassination incident On the one hand, the media outlets attributed to the Muslim Brotherhood attacked al-Nour Party and its participation in the electoral process on the other hand.
The mission also monitored the withdrawal of the Nidaa Masr list from contesting the elections in the second phase of the elections, after losing it in the first phase, and the mission also followed the rulings of the Administrative Court, which decided to stop the announcement of the results of the elections of 4 electoral districts in the governorates of Beheira, Alexandria and Beni Suef, and the mission praises the establishment of the Supreme Committee for the elections. By responding quickly to these rulings and issuing a decision to re-run the elections in the concerned departments.
In another context, the mission monitored the continuing presence of some candidates for the second stage in organizing conferences, electoral seminars, tours and visits in districts, in addition to the use of children in electoral and early publicity.
