Maat Training Center announces the opening of applications for a specialized training course on training civil society workers and stakeholders to cooperate with the Committee on the Rights of the Child under the title “Supporting the effective participation of children in the work of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child”
The training seeks to provide support to organizations working in the field of children’s rights and also to raise the capacities of children aged (14: 17 years) on the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Committee, support them with tools to advocate for children’s issues and participate in the regional international consultations held by the Committee with children up to 17 years of age, in light of the interest The Committee enables children to know their rights and that they are the ones who make recommendations and suggestions to the Committee, and the training provides an opportunity for professional experience working with children’s rights issues at the level of the Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC)
The training targets representatives of NGOs working in the field of children's rights, children themselves, child care workers and other professions working for children's rights at a high or strategic level.
It will take up training
1- Study of the international convention on the rights of children
2- How to cooperate with the Committee on the Rights of the Child
3- How does a child make an intervention before the committee?
The language of training is Arabic
Training period: one day - 16 July 2022
The training location is the headquarters of the Maat Training Center - Cairo

Special Condition: Children under 18 years of age must provide written consent from their parents and their affiliated educational organization/body
