Intervention regarding the report of the Special Rapporteur on freedom of religion or belief

Submitted to: Human Rights Council, 40th Session.

Submitted by: Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights (holds consultative status in the United Nations Economic and Social Council)

Concerning: Item 3: Interactive dialogue with the Special Rapporteur on freedom of religion or belief (Resolution HRC 31/16).

The Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights (Egypt) presents this report to clarify the extent of violations against religious minorities in the world, especially the suffering of the Muslims of Myanmar and Russia, and the Baha'is in Iran.

This coincides with the convening of the fortieth session of the Human Rights Council, in order to take strict and serious measures to save these religious minorities from the outright violation of all international human rights and human rights covenants, and several UN human rights reports or NGOs have been issued condemning these conditions in these countries, Unfortunately, the United Nations or its apparatus did not take firm action on this issue.
