Concerning: Item 3 related to the report of the Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights (Human Rights Council Resolution No. 35/19)

Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights (Egypt) presents this report to monitor the violations committed by the Houthi militia, and their impact on economic and social rights, which led to an increase in the rate of poverty in Yemen and the spread of diseases. Since the beginning of the Yemeni crisis, the Houthi militias have exacerbated the humanitarian situation. It carried out attacks that affected Yemeni civilians, resulting in significant loss of life.

The restrictions on humanitarian access imposed by the Houthis have cast a devastating shadow on the ability of Yemenis to obtain food, medicine and fuel. The widespread destruction of civilian targets, including hospitals, schools and economic infrastructure, has contributed to devastating humanitarian consequences, including a cholera epidemic. And the risk of famine.
