Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights (Egypt) presents this report to clarify the most important observations about the human rights situation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, in accordance with the tenth item; For technical assistance and capacity building.

In this regard, the Democratic Republic of the Congo has witnessed many cases of human rights violations related to mass killing, deteriorating refugee conditions, civil and political rights, as well as a decline in the freedoms of expression and peaceful assembly. Human rights defenders and journalists were subjected to harassment and intimidation, arbitrary arrest or expulsion and murder.
