Does international humanitarian law protect cultural property?

Armed conflicts and wars kill and injure many civilians around the world every day, leave survivors injured or maimed, force many people into forced displacement and destroy all means of life. The transfer, diversion and misuse of illicit weapons contribute to facilitating human rights abuses and violations. The podcast discusses “Humanity Above All” by the Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights Issues related to the application of international humanitarian law during armed conflicts to ensure the protection of civilians, while educating society and raising public awareness among citizens about the topics of international humanitarian law.
