Practices of racial discrimination by the Qatari government

Foundation progress Maat for Peace, Development and Human Rights (Egypt) (Egypt) This report is in the context of its interest in promoting respect for human rights in the Arab region, and this report was based on a methodology based on the international obligations of the State of Qatar under its ratification of international conventions, including the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination, and by collecting and classifying available information on The human rights situation in Qatar from various sources, as well as communicating with a number of activists, actors and local stakeholders there in order to prepare this report.

In this report, the events and developments that have occurred in the human rights situation in Qatar will be shed light, especially with regard to the issue of racial discrimination that is constantly raised against the State of Qatar, which suffers in its constitution and legislation a clear defect that does not guarantee equality and moderate equity in any way, especially with regard to It concerns women and domestic workers, the sponsorship system and migrant workers legislation, as well as the systematic racial discrimination faced by the Al-Ghufran tribe by the Qatari authorities.
