In the fourth thematic session of the Open-ended Working Group on Conventional Ammunition (#OEWG), Maat emphasized the challenges of illegal transfer of weapons and poor storage of ammunition. It also referred to arms shipments that Iran is transferring to the Houthi group in Yemen, and proposed some solutions, on top of which Intensify international and regional cooperation to monitor arms transfers, advocate for gender mainstreaming, marking and tracing, and international cooperation.
