Intervention on torture

Concerning: Item 3: Report of the Special Rapporteur on torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.

Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights (Egypt) presents this report in the context of its interest in promoting respect for human rights in the Middle East region. This report is based on a methodology based on the international obligations of states under their ratification of international conventions, including the Convention against Torture and others Cruel or inhuman treatment or punishment, as well as recommendations that you voluntarily agreed to during the UPR process, in addition to collecting and classifying available information on the human rights situation of these countries from various sources, with the aim of preparing this report.
