An oral intervention by Ma'at, in which it condemned the continued application of unilateral sanctions by the United States

During its participation in the work of the 52nd session of the Human Rights Council, the Maat Foundation made an oral intervention, during which it condemned the continued application of unilateral sanctions by the United States and European countries, which deepens the human rights crisis against the peoples on whom these sanctions are imposed.
Maat believes that the effects of these sanctions appeared in the recent catastrophe of the earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria, and hindered the arrival of medical aid and food to the Syrian people.
Maat called on the member states to stop using coercive measures as a tool to achieve political gains, and also called for stopping the politicization of human rights to achieve the foreign policy goals of the member states.
