Maat holds the second training workshop for social workers and psychologists at Atfih Center. The necessity of expanding training programs for social workers and psychologists.

Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights held the second workshop to train social workers and psychologists on 4-5 July 2012 at Atfih Center in Giza Governorate
This is within the framework of a series of training aimed at raising the capacities of (120) social workers and psychologists in schools, family courts, social affairs, the prison authority, and civil associations in six neighborhoods in the governorates of Cairo and Giza
It is worth noting that these workshops come in the context of implementing the activities of the Integrated Protection Project for the Families of Prisoners and Detainees “Integration and Rehabilitation”, which is implemented by the Maat Foundation with funding from the Swiss “Drosos” Foundation and seeks to improve the economic and social conditions of the families of prisoners and detainees through a set of interconnected activities.
During the training, in which (21) social workers and psychologists participated, more than one method was used, including working groups, case studies, acting and playing roles for the families of their imprisoned breadwinners in order to acquire the participants the skills of dispute resolution and provide advice to the families of prisoners and detainees and how to deal with them from the beginning of their reception until providing advice and methods Solve the problem
The workshop events revealed the necessity of expanding training programs targeting social workers to activate their role in dealing with special groups and marginalized groups, especially since there is a desire among most specialists in the areas where the project works to play this important role.
