Maat Launches the Second Edition of the "Peace Builders in Egypt-2" Project in Cooperation with "KAICIID"

Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights is launching the second edition of its project “Peace Builders in Egypt: Combating Hate Speech in the Name of Religion 2”, as part of its efforts towards developing an anti-hate speech by working to spread the culture of dialogue between religions and the values of tolerance and acceptance of pluralism and difference.
This edition focuses on empowering civil society organizations (CSOs) in building peace, strengthening their efforts in countering hate speech, in addition to creating new spaces for cooperation among them. In this edition, Maat will hold training workshops under the title "Peace Builders in Egypt 2" in the presence of representatives of CSOs and youth. The training course will address several topics related to applied mechanisms to combat hate speech in the name of religion.
In addition, many field and electronic activities are going to be carried out by CSOs participating in the training workshops in order for them to become effective contributors to implementing the policymakers’ plans.
This edition is launched within the framework of strengthening cooperation between Maat and the King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID).
