Maat Center held yesterday a symposium entitled "The Protection of Research and Law's Centers in Arab Nations ". Taher Abo Elnasr ,the lawyer in Hesham Mubarak Center , started his talks by asserting the importance of national work under the acceleration of the privatization wheel which confronted the joint work as well as the free organizations which are controlled by different laws . And the most dangerous is the administration of the administrative authority which does not respect the constitutional rights or the international charters and which are stimulated by the security bodies which has no constitutional or lawful qualifications in this respect and which suspend the appearance of respected judicial organizations for many years after the long litigation periods to have the work's license . Abo Elnasr refused to limit the money to the inner financing of law's activities as the most part of this money is directed against the benefits of businessmen which goes side by side with the privatization government nowadays . He also attracted the attentions to the experience of Hesham Mubarak Center which refused any conditioned foreign financing .
George Ishak , the General Coordinator of Kefaia movement , praised the law centers' role in protecting the political activists and the victims of the security violence ,directing the attentions to the easiness to have the information of its financing bodies which do not hide any thing and which give the system no chance to charge them with rotten and false accusations such as deception and dealing with the foreign . Ishak also called for an Egyptian fund to support the research and law's work to secure the future of these centers with an honor charter to guarantee the transparency of the workers , so that these centers would become the standard of the way to act with the fund coming from the outside and controlled by many inspective bodies . George announced a study by Kefaia about 140 means of peaceful change , one of which is the hard law work.
Dr. Mustafa Abdul Ghani , the editor in El Ahram , wondered about the talks of changes that are absent in the Egyptian reality under the limited regimes which have the ability to create conflicts and fights between the Egyptian people to draw them away from the reform process . Abdul Ghani continued " the failure of the Arab centers is the failure of the Egyptian ones " pointing to the west Zionist blockade to Zaid Center for Following and Coordinating , which is halted as a result of the repeated accusations that it was charged with amid comprehensive and doubtful Arab silence especially from the governments and the Arab League affiliated to it .He also charged some centers with taking Israeli financing ,some of these centers are under Egyptian Press Institutions . He , at the same time , warns against the researches and recommendations presented by the foreign scholars to their governments and against their effect on the decision makers . This comes parallel to the appearance of new orientalists whose mission is to forge the Arab and Islamic history on the behalf of Zionism .
The Manager of the Center , Mr. Ayman Oqeel , called for clear mechanism to protect the Arab research and law's centers . At the same time a number of journalists expressed their apprehensions that the Arab research centers might have the same fate as Zaid Center . They also called for specific union for the Arab research centers to avoid this fate .
