In light of its participation in the 55th session of the HRC, Maat for Peace, Development and Human Rights held a virtual side event on “Foreign debt and its impact on the right to development in Africa.”
The event addressed the challenges facing African countries in achieving the United Nations vision for sustainable development due to the foreign debt crisis.
Experts from different backgrounds joined the event to talk about the impact of foreign debt on the African continent, and a number of recommendations were presented to the international community to contribute to resolving the crisis.
