With these words, Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights concluded training course on "tools and skills of the Egyptian voter awareness," which was held over four days in Menoufia Governorate.
This comes in the framework of "Keeping your voice from invalidating" that is being implemented with support from the International Foundation for Electoral Systems, "IFes" where the four targeted courses the (115) participants from youth and natural leaders of the four different centers in Menofia (Talla – Berket El-Sabaa- Al-Shohdaa - Ashmun ).
The axes of the four training courses included the concept of democracy and mechanisms of exercise in a positive way to work on the consolidation as part of the culture of the community and one of its basic elements. Also, the concept of election was death and electoral systems in Egypt and the difference between their respective functions and how to run and vote as one of the images effective political participation on training participants to how to implement campaigns to make awareness for citizens that aimed at encouraging them to actively participate in the electoral process and how to choose the right candidate and to vote without invalidating the vote how the process of calculating the vote is done by the Supreme Commission for Elections and the role of observers, both from the delegates about the candidates or judges in maintaining the integrity of the election and showing it in an appropriate form in the transition phase undergone by Egypt.
The participants were divided into working groups so that they have been trained in practice on how to prepare for an awareness campaign election urging people to effective political participation and change the inherited negative political of the vast majority of citizens as a result of practices emanating from the former regime and convert them to participate actively matched case revolutionary experienced by Egypt at the present time.
This was evident in the recommendations made by participants who recommended the necessity of activating the political participation of groups that have suffered from marginalization over the past years through integration within the organizations of civil society, which is located on its larger role in the development of society politically and culturally. The participants also were interested on the pivotal role of women in terms of the need to raise the culture of women's political participation and urged them to participate, either through the activation of its role within civil society organizations or by encouraging them to compete strongly in the electoral process with the support of candidates as one of the ways of empowering women in political life.
In the end, participants recommended the need to take advantage of the electoral experience undergone by Egypt after the revolution of January 25 to avoid the negatives and turn them into successful and effective positives live up to those in the political process after a guarantee to achieve the bright political future.
