Government Policy Analysis

Within the framework of cultural exchange between civil society organizations in the Euro-Mediterranean region; And towards a contribution to the completion of democratization processes, improving the skills of civil organizations, enhancing their capabilities, in addition to improving the performance of governments.

The Maat Foundation for Peace (Egypt), the Center for Civil Society Studies (Palestine) and the Peace in Our Hands (Tunisia), with the support of the Analind Foundation, seek to implement a ten-day training program from February 24, 2013 to March 4, 2013 under the title

”  Analyze government policies and how to hold national governments accountable to their citizens 

It should be noted that most parts of the training program will be in the English language, and the program includes the following topics: -

1- Scientific research skills

2- Analyzing government policies and practices.

3- Analysis of national budgets.

4- Analyzing gender policies.

5- Analyzing laws and policies based on international humanitarian standards for human rights.

6- The role of Arab youth in capturing the moment towards the processes of change and leadership of the masses

Associations invited to submit applications for nomination of their cadres      

The training program targets the associations that are members of the Egyptian National Network of the Analind Foundation for the Dialogue of Cultures and whose fields of work include issues related to the following sectors:

1. Issues related to youth and gender.

2. Issues related to health and education.

3. Issues related to democratic reform.

4. Issues related to environmental disasters.

5. Issues related to the inclusion of minorities and the marginalized.

6. Issues related to national budgets and expenditures.

Application and selection procedures       

Organizations that meet the previous conditions wishing to nominate one of their staff to participate in the training must fill out the attached participation form and send it to the Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights at the following email address: -

The Foundation will arrange the participants according to their eligibility to participate (with priority given to those who are fluent in speaking and writing in the English language), and it can also make contact with some to compare them if necessary, and in all cases 7 main participants and three alternate participants will be selected, provided that 40% shall be among the participants. And in reserve, at least of females

The selected participants will undertake to work on implementing what they were trained on in preparing a report within a period of 6 months that includes an analysis of one of the general policies related to the field of work of his association
