The Arab squares are witnessing great changes within the state of the current movement in what has become known as the "Arab Spring". These changes have affected the roles played by Arab civil society organizations and the nature of the relationship between these organizations on the one hand and the public and the authorities on the other hand.
From the standpoint of the necessity to study these changing roles of civil society organizations; The Maat Organizations for Peace, Development and Human Rights (Egypt), the Center for Civil Society Studies (Palestine), and the Broderskap Foundation / Sweden), have the honor to invite you to participate in the conference

Which will be held in Cairo on Monday and Tuesday 19-20 December 2011 AD, by the Nile cruise ship (Armada) in front of the Supreme Constitutional Court - Maadi Corniche, starting from nine in the morning until four in the afternoon. (Conference agenda attached)
The conference will discuss a number of working papers, each of which was prepared jointly by Egyptian and Palestinian researchers, during the period from September to November 2011, where the comparative research papers revolve around the following axes:
- The role of civil society in the current Arab transformations ... A study of the Palestinian and Egyptian cases
The youth movement: political and social..evaluation and forward-looking visions ... a study of the Palestinian case and the Egyptian case
- The reality of Arab women in light of the Arab Spring ... What do the women of Egypt and Palestine want?
The expected role of the Arab media in promoting the national dimension of the Arab revolutions.
The expected role of the Arab media in combating political corruption and supporting development
A group of intellectuals, researchers and politicians from the Arab region will participate in the conference, and we are confident that your generous participation with us in commenting on the working papers presented in the civil society session will be an enrichment of the conference’s activities.
