Maat for Peace, Development and Human Rights launched a new training course yesterday, Saturday, December 29, 2012. The training course aims to develop the skills needed for job market for the children of the families of prisoners and detainees by the Vocational and Skill Development Training Center.

This is considered one of the activities of project; (Integrated Protection for the Families of Prisoners and Detainees – Integration and Rehabilitation) funded by the Swiss foundation DROSOS and seeks to improve economic, social and legal situations for the families of prisoners and detainees in six districts in Cairo and Giza

The project, through this course seeks to teach youth in the target group computer skills and applications to contribute to their rehabilitation for job market along with providing them with the needed skills to get legal job opportunities.

The training program focuses on the unqualified for job market or the unqualified at all, the project through the training course aims to rehabilitate and integrate the unemployed from the families of prisoners and detainees within the society along with supporting them in job market. It's worth mentioning that the Vocational and Skill Development Training Center targets to develop the basic skills for at least (200) of the families of prisoners and detainees during the project implementation period in the context of other services to benefit over 2200 members of those families, the training course is expected to contribute directly in the trainees success to get compatible job opportunities with their earned skills, Maat's recruitment center would help in providing job opportunities to the outstanding trainees.
