The Situation of Human Rights in Somalia

Somalia is undergoing a deterioration in the situation of human rights. Successive regimes have practiced oppression and persecution in all its forms. Corruption has spread throughout the country. The government has failed to absorb economic and humanitarian crises, and has occupied late positions in major international indicators. As a result of the war and natural disasters, the country is witnessing a marked decline in all economic, social and political rights, as well as the rights of women and children.

And progress Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights (Egypt) this report to refer to the most important human rights violations taking place in Somalia. The report seeks to make several recommendations to internal and external international decision makers that deal with the human rights situation in a different way, in a way suitable to the Somali citizen.
