The conclusion of the training course for executives

Ali “Decentralization and Effective Professional Practices”

Which is implemented by the Foundation in cooperation with the German Hans Seidel Foundation, and this comes within the framework of the Maat Foundation's interest in improving the professional practices of public service officials in the context of decentralization, based on the importance of the role of executives in improving the quality of services provided to citizens.

The conference will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2011, at 3 pm, in Mallorca Hotel - located at 19 El-Montasser St. - behind Agouza Hospital and behind Shahrazad Hotel - Agouza, Giza.
The course aims to improve the professional practices of those holding middle administrative positions in the administrative apparatus whose work is linked to the state’s plan for decentralization.
The three-day training will deal with topics related to the roles and responsibilities of the local executive authority, the formation and specializations of executive councils and previous Egyptian experiences in the decentralization file. During the training workshop, the trainees will get acquainted with the participatory planning of the local development process and get acquainted with the local development plan. International experiences from France and Algeria will also be presented.

During the conference, discussions will be presented between trainees and trainers on developing the new local administration law, developing the work of the upcoming local councils in 2012, and proposing practical solutions to problems and obstacles to local decentralization in Egypt by presenting the outputs of the working groups. During the conference, certificates of participation will be distributed to the trainees.
