The Master's program in Diversity and Media starts in 2013

The launch of the third year of the MA in Diversity and Media program was announced in September 2013. The MA program is highly innovative and has been developed by the Institute for Media Diversity and the University of Westminster. This program will provide an opportunity for students to analyze the role of the media in social construction and gain a critical understanding of journalistic practices that affect these processes. This program combines a set of theoretical-based modules aimed at developing a critical understanding of management processes and making sensitivity towards cultural diversity with a number of practice units aiming to give students first-hand experience in practicing inclusive journalism. Based on this new paradigm, this master's degree is designed to provide students with the skills necessary to engage in responsible media coverage of diversity, the practice of comprehensive journalism and coverage related to cultural matters, as well as professional development (whether at the operational, strategic, or research-based level) that involves understanding And responding to the challenges of social diversity.
