Maat center for Judicial and Constitutional Studies hold the activities of the second day for peace in Giza in Saturday 29th November 2008. The activities were attended by natural families and families of detainees and prisoners with were about 53 members that varied from elders, youth and kids. The center implements the project with cooperation of American agency for International Development (USAID) that aimed at rejoin families of prisoners and detainees in society. They all participate the whole day in the activities along with a psychiatrist to solve the psychological and social problems and some lawyers to provide necessary legal advices in addition to representatives of a number of NGOs concerned with the collective work with the families of the prisoners and detainees. There were also lectures on psychological and social aspects revolve around the needs of families and their problems which they faced and especially young people in adolescence, as well as how the families who lost their breadwinner due to the prison to benefit from the services offered by NGOs, and also held individual meetings with some of the cases, a psychologist and Social specialist. In parallel with this entertaining and educational activities were hold for the children of families, educational activity included "Dodo" stories which learn children the values of citizenship and acceptance of others, renounce violence and freedom of expression as recreational activity is meant to give them opportunities for recreation and the expression of intellectual talents and abilities of different substances was also provided gifts to children in line With the tendencies of each of them. Entertaining Competition was held for adult's family members include some of the questions of cultural and general knowledge and give a symbolic presents to the winners and the events of day, which began in the ninth am and ended at precisely six o'clock p.m. reflected the meaningful of societal harmony between the families of prisoners and other natural families
