Maat center for Juridical and constitutional studies hold the first round table in Assiut on Saturday 06/12/2008 in Rabetat El hokokeyeen club – kourneesh el Neil with the presence of the President of the local council , a group of local and popular leaders and citizens to discuss the idea of the activation of the role of the Ministry of Solidarity and the civil associations in supporting of the families of prisoners and detainees The meeting was attended by :
1-Mr. Maher Fathi Mehana ( lawyer ) .
2-Mr. Samuaiil Tiyab Jadallah (human rights activist) .
3-Mr. Hany Helmi Amin (lawyer)

The meeting started at 5 p.m. with an opening speech by Mr. Ayman Okail “ the project manager “ presented the idea of the project fully and its activities and presented the idea of the center and its different activities , and the activities that have been implemented and the activities that will be implemented in the next stage.
Then the discussion talked about activating the role of the Ministry of Solidarity in the services that provided to the families of prisoners such as loans without repay , Monthly charities , small projects and The role of the Department of after-care in the Interior Ministry In assisting the families of prisoners and prisoners themselves after being released .
Then Mr. Maher Fathi Mehana insured that this active role should be activated in order to enable all families to have their needs or even on the part of these needs in the face of the high cost of living .
And that it is essential that the people of the same country should cooperate with each other and that there is no difference between the Coptic and Muslim or the son of a prisoner or natural person As long as everyone under one sky and live on the same land , These should be the characteristics of the Egyptians and national unity .
Also Mr. Samuaiil Tiyab mentioned that in Assiut There is no distinction between Muslims and Copts and he talked about his own experience and how his neighbors cooperate between each other despite the differences in religion.
The present insured that the villages in the countryside and in the upper Egypt that all of the people their stood in each others side in the hard times , In spite of this few of the families of prisoners in the village Find the care and attention from the around people .
And Mr. Hany Helmi Amin mentioned that Maat center and its project of societal peace Served a lot of families of prisoners and detainees by sensitize them of their rights which is being guaranteed by law and appreciated the idea of integration between the families of prisoners and detainees, the natural families and the importance of the existence of these seminars in the various provinces to include the largest possible number of people .
And after that the questions by the attendants were about how to get a financial support from Maat center or from the societal peace project , and the question was answered by Mr. Ayman Okail that the project or the center isn’t giving any financial support but can be through the center to provide free legal support and the center would be the link between citizens and The associations or the organizations that provide this support .
The discussion and the questions were about how to get the benefits from civil society organizations and its institutions in assisting the families of prisoners and detainees at various levels of education and training and the level of social support And material and legal support .
