Concerning: Clause 3: Interactive dialogue Report of the Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of slavery.

    Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights (Egypt) presents this report to clarify the dimensions of the foreign labor problem in Qatar, and the grave violations that foreign workers face in Qatar, as one of the contemporary forms of slavery, as the Gulf countries are a major destination for migrant workers, especially Qatar, where the percentage of foreign workers is It has over 90% workforce.

      This coincides with Qatar hosting the 2022 World Cup, bringing in more migrant workers, their lack of adequate protection under the law, in addition to their exposure to exploitation and abuse, and the authorities ’failure to enforce the articles and provisions of the Labor Law of 2004, which are supposed to protect workers' rights, in what is considered a form of Contemporary forms of slavery.
