NGOs Initiative Network for Supporting Decentralization\nThe Network background\nIn its interest in supporting decentralization and reforming local administration system to become more responsive to the citizen\u2019s rights, Maat for Peace, Development and Human Rights is launching \u201cNGOs Initiative Network for Supporting Decentralization\u201d as nonprofit entity to include the interested parties in decentralization and developing the local administration system in Egypt.\nThe Network message\nThe Network seeks to advocate decentralization and put pressure on the decision makers in order to conduct fundamental reform on the local administration system to guarantee full and genuine participation from the citizen\u2019s in the local decision making process and manage their resources to meet the needs of their communities, to integrate with the state public policy, improve the quality of public services and to fulfill the citizen\u2019s social and economic rights\nThe establishment process and the obligations of applicants\nMaat Foundation is in the stage of receiving the applications of the founding members to join the Network, the next stage would be drafting a statute for the Network by a committee of members as a prelude to its adoption during the constituent meeting next July and would be followed by a training workshop on decentralization and its importance, in this context, the wishing foundations to join the Network as founding members should commit to the following:<\/p>\n
1. To fill the attached application, sign it by the person in charge of the organization and to stamp it with the seal of the organization. Then, to send it by mail, email, or fax.<\/p>\n
2. To participate in the preliminary discussions to draft the statute.<\/p>\n
3. To participate in the constituent meeting.<\/p>\n
