Maat has concluded its training workshop on "Combating Misinformation," which focused on enhancing media literacy by equipping participants with the skills to identify false and misleading news and its various categories. The workshop also covered responsible engagement with social media, utilizing tools and methods for verification before and after disseminating information, as well as strengthening skills in analyzing, refuting, and evaluating information to ensure its accuracy. The workshop featured participation from several young people and journalists from Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Sudan, Palestine, and Yemen.
It is noteworthy that this workshop is part of Maat's efforts to empower youth and those interested in combating misinformation, understanding its impacts on societies, and learning how to verify information.
