The recommendations of the community committees in Dar Al-Salam become reality

Within the framework of implementing and following up on the recommendations of the community committees., And the round tables of the project - Integrated Protection of the Families of Prisoners and Detainees - “Inclusion and Rehabilitation” Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights organized a number of awareness and educational meetings for the children and families of prisoners and detainees in the areas of Dar Al Salam and Al Basateen.
Haya Association, Tawasul Charitable Society in Dar Al Salam and Izbat Khairallah have hosted a number of volunteer activities directed at families and children from the families of prisoners.
Where the Haya Association hosted the activities of the educational seminar (Characteristics of the adolescence stage) presented by the volunteer trainer
Professor / Al-Husseini Abdel-Wahab. In it, he dealt with the characteristics of the stage of adolescence and the psychological and behavioral characteristics that occur on the adolescent and how to deal with the difficulties of this stage. The families interacted with the coach with a number of questions and practical cases, and the trainer presented a number of ideas and appropriate strategies for dealing with adolescents at this stage, whether the boy or the girl.
On the sidelines of the symposium, a number of individual social counseling sessions were implemented, which were provided by the social worker at the Support and Advice Unit of the Maat Foundation, Professor / Mohamed Hassan. These are social sessions in which the social worker provides free advice and guidance for the project to the families of prisoners and detainees.
On the other hand, the (Tawasul) Association in the Dar Al Salam region also hosted group discussion sessions for the families of prisoners and detainees who are registered in the Society School of the Society from the people of the region and from the beneficiaries of the integration and rehabilitation project.
The psychologist / Marwa Abdel Hamid presented a number of educational and behavioral issues that met with great interaction on the part of the children participating in the group discussion sessions.
In addition, two group sessions were implemented, the first for males and the second for girls, in which the psychological needs of both groups were raised, taking into account the difference in psychological concerns and needs with respect to gender.
Topics of open discussion such as (the right to dream - the right to love - and ways to succeed ..) reflected the extent of the children's need to implement in-depth sessions and programs to satisfy the children's passion for knowledge and understanding on various topics to raise awareness and correct societal misconceptions.
At the end of the two meetings with the Haya Association and Tawasul Association, families and children expressed their desire to continue the awareness and education meetings and more voluntary seminars.
In conclusion, Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights invites all groups of society, including institutions, individuals and volunteers, to adopt the psychological, social, material, or in-kind needs of this group, as it is truly an invisible category in society.
